I generated these images by sampling colors from each model with prompt color: #. Rectangle area is proportional to frequency of the color.

A lot of model’s favorite color is red/#FF0000. Green is also popular, and blue as well. #FF5733 is a strange color to appear so frequently, and it is shared by glm, devstral, nemotron, and qwen. translategemma, predictably, is pretty boring color-wise. lfm2 is very blue. But nice blues, not just #0000FF. Many models like #C0FFEE. I didn’t know about that color!

This seems like an interesting way to fingerprint a model. Perhaps you can identify a model this way? Or identify model plagiarism/distillation? It’s like each model’s flag. Or personality.

I took the top dozen or so models from Ollama’s popular list on April 5, 2026. Some were too big for my 32G MacBook Air or errored out some other way so I tossed those.
